Chief Market Development Officer, Financial Health Network
As Chief Market Development Officer, Sarah Gordon leads the development and ongoing evolution of the Financial Health Network’s organizational strategy. In this role, she also focuses on making sure we hold ourselves accountable to the mission by rigorously measuring our impact. She is responsible for helping to identify and launch new initiatives, such as the Financial Health Network’s Small Business Working Group, and finding the partners and funders to successfully execute against them.
Sarah’s past roles include leading the Financial Health Network efforts to foster promising product, service, and strategy innovations through a variety of financial and nonprofit supports. She helped stand up the Financial Solutions Lab and directed programs such as the Financial Capability Innovation Fund and the Nonprofit Opportunities Fund. She also served as a relationship manager, driving the Financial Health Network’s engagement with a broad set of stakeholders.
Sarah got her start in financial services as a financial coach to low-wage manufacturing workers in Chicago’s poorest neighborhoods. She was also Associate Director at Jane Addams Resource Corporation (JARC), a leading workforce development nonprofit.
Sarah serves on the Board of Moneythink, recognized by President Obama as one of the most promising social innovations in America.
Sarah is a graduate of Northwestern University and lives in Evanston with her husband and young daughter.
